On Monday 20 June in the Great Hall at Parliament, Health Minister Andrew Little announced the 2022 Minister of Health Volunteer Awards. Various organisations and individuals were recognised, including Pacifica health, Youth health, Maori health, Community volunteers and many others.

Wellington Samaritans were nominated by our Wellington Administration Officer in the category of Long-Service Team and to our delight, won this award with Outstanding Achievement. Rosemary Cole, Peter Barker, Libby Drummond and Tami Louisson attended the award ceremony on behalf of all our Wellington long-serving volunteers. As the longest-serving Wellington volunteer with 52 years’ service, Rosemary gave a speech accepting the award.
